The highlight of Chocolate Decadence is the naming of community "Sweethearts" who have made a longstanding contribution to Boca Raton.

We would like to announce our 2008 JLBR Community Sweethearts: John and Margaret Mary Shuff, Charlie Seimon, and Dr. Richard Auclair, MD.

John and Margaret Mary Shuff currently own and operate JES Publishing, best known locally for publishing Boca Magazine and Florida Table. Throughout the years, both have shown their ongoing commitment to The Haven, United Way of Greater Boca Raton, St. Andrews School, Boca Raton Community Hospital, Cystic Fibrosis Organization, Boca Raton Museum of Art as well as various other contributions which have made a long standing impact in the community.

Charlie Siemon’s vision of Boca Raton has improved the quality and lifestyle of its residents. Boca Bacchanal and the Festival of the Arts enrich our culture with food, wine, music, and art. Charlie also played a major role in developing the hip, modern downtown Boca- a place for the style conscious to live, eat, shop, and play. The impact he has made on the Boca community will last a lifetime.

Dr. Richard Auclair, MD, ongoing commitment to serving our community with quality medical care is inspiring to us all. Volunteering his time, care, and staff to the women of the local farm working community each week at the Caridad Clinic is a wonderful gesture not to be overlooked. He has touched the hearts of his patients and has done all of this during his retirement.
