All proceeds raised from Chocolate Decadence support the Junior League of Boca Raton and our community projects.

The Junior League of Boca Raton, Inc. is an organization of women committed to promoting voluntarism, developing the potential of women and improving the community through effective action and leadership of trained volunteers. Its purpose is exclusively educational and charitable.

• Kids@Home: Kids@Home is non-profit organization which strengthens the lives of young people transitioning out of foster care and into adulthood by giving them the emotional support and practical tools that they need to lead productive fulfilled lives. JLBR’s roster of new programs and services include life skills seminars, community service events, a career fair, holiday celebrations, the creation of promotional materials and new apartment kits.





• In the Pines: A Junior League project since 1982, In The Pines is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing low-cost quality housing and community services for migrant and other agricultural workers in southern Palm Beach County. Junior League efforts have resulted in the creation of a Child Development Center, continuing education and enrichment programs for adult residents and the surrounding farm worker community, as well as the renovation and expansion of housing.





• Florence Fuller: A child development center committed to providing quality childcare to serve economically disadvantaged families. The center is dedicated to serving children and families from low income households, so that children can start their education on par with those from more economic advantages.





• Kids In Distress: The Junior League provides funding and volunteer support to assist in providing services that care for and treat young victims of child abuse and neglect, and those at risk, in our community. Through abuse prevention and therapeutic programs, families are strengthened and supported in their effort to stay whole. KID’s Foster Care program steps in when necessary to place children in loving, stable foster homes. Some foster placements result in adoption.)





• Hometown Histories: This project, new for the 2005-2006 year, is an innovative educational outreach program that will bring the art, culture and history of Boca Raton into 4th grade classrooms. In a strategic partnership with the Boca Raton Museum of Art and the Boca Raton Historical Society (former JLBR project), the Junior League will supervise and coordinate the creation of an approved curriculum and a creative "trunk show" package, designed to enhance teachers' resources on Florida history while providing a stimulating learning experience and environment for 4th grade students.





• Vegso Community Resource Center: The VCRC houses the South County branch of the Community Foundation of Palm Beach & Martin Counties Grant Library, as well as the administrative offices of the Junior League and its programs. The Center focuses on strengthening the fabric of all non-profit organizations dedicated to community improvement by offering specialized training seminars in conjunction with the Donor's Forum.





• Community Support Fund: Through this fund, JLBR provides flexible funding to community agencies that render services within the League’s focus areas.





• Done in a Day (DIAD): DIAD provides JLBR volunteer support to qualified agencies for short-term or one-day community projects or events.

• Milagro Center: A unique arts integrated, educational and cultural facility, which provides homework help, a mentoring program, as well as a range of skills such as art, gardening, music, sign language, and reading.
